HPE-VMHDNM8 VMware Horizon 8 – Deploy and Manage (HQ7E0S)

This five-day course provides hands-on skills to deliver virtual desktops and applications using VMware Horizon 8. Students learn to configure and manage virtual machine pools, install Horizon components, and establish Cloud Pod Architecture for scalable infrastructure.

Prerequisites

Customers should have skills in using VMware vSphere Web Client to view virtual machines, datastores, and networks; opening virtual machine consoles on vCenter Server; creating snapshots; configuring guest customization specifications; modifying virtual machine properties; converting VMs to templates; and deploying VMs from templates. Additionally, experience in Microsoft Windows system administration is required, including configuring Active Directory services (DNS, DHCP, time synchronization), implementing Group Policy objects, enabling Remote Desktop Connections, and building ODBC connections to SQL Server databases.
